Path Towards Freedom

Last week in class we mediated and chanted on the practice of seeing each being, human or other, each moment of each day as extraordinary. With sincere appreciation and amazement and giving reverence to such. To see clear, with no agenda and not according to one's expectations, likes or dislikes. Without the coloring of conditioning; to see someone, even yourself for the first time. A practice rich and profound; creating a foundation of stability and celebrating connection despite all we might see as different and separate.

To hold a deep appreciation and wonder for our body, mind, and heart freeing one's self from this constant need or desire to be more or better. To be in awe of the beauty and wonder of life and all its offerings; to be present, open, and humble in your curiosity.

How often do you look in the mirror and see perfection and beauty just as you are? Do you appreciate the smallest aspects of your body and the strength it offers each day? Just breathing in itself is a miracle. How often do you look at other beings, both those you love and those whom you don’t know but judge from afar, with the same appreciation and essence?

We have the power of choice, and how you view yourself, someone or something is not always seen as simple, changing day-to-day and filled with layers of judgment, misconceptions, conditions, and stories. But what if one day you woke up and made a choice, tried something new and met each person as you would for the first time. Seeing them as you would see your most beloved, your most cherished. Even imagine seeing yourself in this way. Try it on and see how it feels in your body, how it impacts your thoughts, energy, and mind.
